Birmingham, Brummie Contra: Bill Kinsman, Stray Chords.
A Brummie Contra on the last Friday afternoon of 2017. In his 91st year the wonderful and ever popular Bill Kinsman will be calling. On an afternoon to allow all to travel to the event more straightforwardly in daylight. Stray Chords are the musicians. (That's Joshua and Benjamin as the talented youthful representatives, playing with parental Philip and Joyce of Knotted Chord from Harrogate).
Price on the door: £10.50 (Students: £6.50) (6 to 16's under responsible supervision £4.50). Ask at the door to SAVE £2 for your FIRST attendance. Bring a new friend along to a dance: you EACH save £2. You may also - up to 2 days in advance - SAVE £1.50. Email an "I will be there". DETAILS on the website. At a previous dance, you can always fill in the "I will be there" list for the same saving.
Contras are always more fun if more come! Venue conveniently near M42 J5. Spacious hall: Large, free, enclosed car park. Travellers are welcomed from 1.30pm with inclusive hot drink & biscuits.
