Set and Turn Single

the listing magazine for folk dancers

There are more than 600 events and over 500 clubs included in the STS listings.  The web site has more than 75 pages of information.

Is your club or your dance listed ?    For a listing send us:

  • Date
  • Location of the venue  (all the listings are under the place)
  • Name of club
  • type of event
  • artists

If you don't know all the details yet send us what you have, you can always add more later.    The listings don't include ticket prices, times or the address of the venue-- you'll have to buy an advert in the magazine if you want to include things like that !

If you want to send us a whole year's events please do.

Make sure that the contact details for your club are up to date - we take the contact for more information from  the details we already have.

If you want to change your clubs contact details send us

  • Name of club
  • location of venue
  • Club night
  • Contact Phone number
  • contact e-mail address (we will publish it unless you tell us not to)
  • Club web site if there is one

Just tell us what's changed so that we don't waste time checking what's the same.

We prefer to receive contributions by e-mail.

Don't worry if you don't have access to e-mail,  you can still use Royal Mail and post the same details to us at the usual address.

Sending contributions by e-mail

The quickest way to add your club's event to our listings or to change contact details is to e-mail

If you e-mail us there no need to send us a letter attached to the e-mail - just include the details in your e-mail.    If the information is already in a flyer and just paste the text  into your e-mail.

I aim to update the STS web site weekly so the sooner you send it the sooner its on ! the date of the next update is always shown on the Home Page

In busy times there can be a delay so the sooner you send it the sooner its on !

When the amendments are made I will ask you to check the details and advise me of any other changes needed.

I also collect information on dances, ceilidhs and other special events directly from club web sites.

I collect information from more than 500 web sites every month. For more information see http://www.setandturnsingle.org.uk/webwatch

Please do not send pdf files - we have to copy type it and that takes time.

Turning MS Word or MS Publisher file into ones we can use takes time so please send plain text as requested above.

Please dont tell us about events that are already listed; that just wastes your, and our, time.

BUT If you can add details to events listed please do. Use the update forms on the event pages.

We cannot read Lotus Notes files.
